Dr. Réjean Thomas at the Marichette Foundation Breakfast

For the third edition of its luncheon meeting on June 7, the Fondation Marichette is pleased to welcome Dr. Réjean Thomas as speaker.

Dr. Thomas is well known for his commitment to people with AIDS. He is the President and CEO and founder of the l'Actuel medical clinic in Montreal since 1984.

The event will take place on Friday, June 7 from 7:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. at the Sheraton Four Points Hotel Rendezvous Room, 40 Lady Ada Boulevard, Moncton. A $100 ticket entitles you to an $80 tax receipt.

His exceptional journey has taken him from Tilley Road in New Brunswick to the four corners of the world. Founder of Doctors of the World Canada, Dr. Thomas has contributed to the establishment of humanistic medicine not only in Canada, but also abroad, participating in numerous humanitarian missions including Afghanistan and Zimbabwe, Haiti, Malawi and Vietnam.

A graduate of the Universities of Moncton, Laval and Montreal, Dr. Thomas has been awarded numerous distinctions for his exceptional contribution to the advancement of social causes, including the Hommage et Reconnaissance des médecins de cœur et d'action award, presented by the Association des médecins de langue française du Canada.

Among other awards, he received an honorary doctorate from the Université de Moncton (2001) and the Order of New Brunswick for his treatment and support of people living with HIV/AIDS, for his efforts to end prejudice and for his active participation in humanitarian work at the international level.
