The Marichette Foundation will hold its annual general meeting on April 20th. On this occasion, members will be asked to fill two (2) positions on the Board of Directors.
In accordance with the Foundation's by-laws and regulations, the terms of office of the members of the Board of Directors are three (3) years and are renewable indefinitely, except in the case of the President, who may only hold two consecutive terms.
With the exception of the President, the members of the Board of Directors are not elected to a specific position; the assignment of functions (Secretary-Recorder, Vice-President, Treasurer, Solicitor, Communications and Scholarship Committee Chair) is made by the Board according to the needs, skills and interests of its members. The intensity of the work varies according to the position held. As an indication, the Board met 6 times in the past year and held 4 email meetings.
Individuals interested in joining the Board of Directors are asked to apply by Friday, March 19, 2021 via email to Fondation.email@example.com with a summary of their relevant experience and interest in the mission of the Marichette Foundation.
The Foundation's Constitution and Bylaws can be found on the web page. We draw particular attention to Article 13, which describes each of the functions of the Board of Directors, and to Article 10.4.1, which describes the procedure for nomination to the Board of Directors.
