The Marichette Foundation aims to promote the education of women in the
New Brunswickers who are financially disadvantaged in providing them
scholarships for post-secondary studies in French.
The minimum annual amount of scholarships is increased to $10,000 and in order to
reduce uncertainty and insecurity which often lead to dropping out of studies,
The scholarship is renewable for the duration of the student’s academic program.
Applications for the 2024-2025 academic year must be received no later than
late March 15, 2024.
The result will be announced no later than May 17, 2024.
To be eligible, candidates must:
a) be a Canadian citizen or have obtained permanent residence or be
registered with the federal government under the Indian Act without
respect for citizenship;
b) be a resident of New Brunswick;
c) be admitted full-time to a program delivered in French leading to a degree
undergraduate degree, a university, college or university diploma or certificate
professional in a Canadian public or private post-secondary institution
recognized;
d) demonstrate significant financial need.
