It is with pride and gratitude that the Marichette Foundation confirms having exceeded the objective of its Étudier gives wings fundraising campaign, launched in October 2021. Despite the obstacles caused by the pandemic, the target of 1 million 200 thousand was exceeded . The Foundation confirms that the sum of 1 million 400 thousand dollars will be added to the existing trust fund. We are therefore officially ending the campaign. This success solidifies our financial foundations and allows us to immediately increase the amount of our scholarships, which now go from 7 to 10 thousand dollars per year. Remember that these annual scholarships are renewable for the duration of the studies of French-speaking women from NB in precarious situations who return to or access post-secondary studies. The total amount of scholarships awarded for 2024/2025 is therefore 100 THOUSAND dollars!

We are therefore taking this opportunity to announce six new scholarship recipients from the four corners of the province. They are Danelle LEBLANC and Siham AIT IT BRAHIM (Dieppe), Monica DEGRÂCE-LEBLANC and Alya BOURQUE (Moncton), Éliane RAYMOND (Saint-Jean Baptiste) and Madeleine Sophie LANG (Saint-Basile). Their fields of study are, respectively, accounting, human resources, social sciences, psychology, nursing and catering. They are in addition to the four scholarship recipients who have had their scholarship renewed for another year. Monique Imbeault, president of the Campaign Cabinet, and Nicole Gionet, president of the Marichette Foundation, would like to thank the volunteers, businesses, individuals, religious communities, the Acadian community and the consulting-services firm BNP Performance. According to Nicole Gionet: “The unfailing generosity of donors, from New Brunswick and elsewhere in Canada, through their donations, their legacies or their titles and actions, ensures the sustainability of our mission.”
